Work by: Laure Estep

Stories and the characters that populate them have always seemed magical to me. Through them I can get lost inside another world and live a life of adventure and experience situations and vivid emotions beyond the comfort of day to day existence -- at least for the duration of the story.

In my art, in all its forms, I seek to bring that feeling of immersion in a story's world to viewers. I especially love history and would love to work at bringing times long past back to life, making it relevant and vibrantly alive for a modern audience

When I'm not studying or drawing, I love to write. Primarily it's historical fiction, and that's my favorite genre to read as well. My current project is a time travel romance to medieval Sherwood Forest. I love most things Irish, English and Scottish, as well as legends, myths and fairy tales. I am particularly in love with Robin Hood -- the old ballads, legends, BBC tv show, and disney movie included.
