A Lady and Her Dragon by Carol Moore
Prompt: a lady and her dragon
prompted by: Edward Cammarota, during Sketch Fest #28 (September, 2012)
Update: So I have updated this from the original sketch. This was one of those sketches I couldn't put away and had to work on it to finish it. Still not completely satisified with the dragon.
Well I didn't quite finish this sketch. I kept getting interrupted by family, so kind of lost track on the time on it too. As you can see I haven't drawn too many dragons, so I took this prompt for a challenge. The references I got off of pinterest. Have a lot more work to do on the dragon and the lady. Thank you Ed so much for the prompt!
Jenny Heidewald says: I like the angle of her face, that is a hard one to pull off well! Dragons can be tricky when you first start them, some times it helps to think of them as lizards. :) ~ Reply?
replied to this: Thanks Jenny! I think your right. Might try looking at some lizard type photos for reference. Right now I think it looks like a gazelle :D
Edward Cammarota says: I vote you finish this piece:-) :-) :-) :-) ~ Reply?
replied to this: Thanks Ed! I will try :)
Ellen Million says: Oo, neat. I would be worried with a pet that looked that ferocious! ~ Reply?
replied to this: Thanks Ellen! Yes, at least it will keep the bad guys away :D
Mayumi Ogihara says: Beautiful pencil work, Carol! She looks very gentle and lovely! ~ Reply?
replied to this: Thank you so much Mayumi and thank you for the purchase! ((hugs)
Jen Lee says: I think this is fantastic... great job :) ~ Reply?
