Stupendous Headdress - Hestia by Jenny Heidewald

Stupendous Headdress - Hestia
by Jenny Heidewald

Prompt: Stupendous Headdress
prompted by: Erich Heidewald, during Sketch Fest #27 (August, 2012)

This is a finished version of a sketch!

Hestia, the goddess of the hearth and home, finally finished. She is wearing an ionic chiton, showing a different way to girdle it. I am not sure what the plant is, but it is in one of the ancient illustrations of her that I found online. Micron pen and colored pencil on 2.5 x 3.5" colored paper. If you miss buying the original line version, I now offer a limited run (three) of any of my Sketchfest ACEOs. These will be printed on watercolor paper and hand painted. If interested, drop me a line via e-mail, or in the comment area. :) I also have a Facebook page for my art.

Comment?

Erich Heidewald says: Clover? I like her stylish ionic chiton. :) ~ Reply?

Jenny Heidewald replied to this: *haha* I thought clover as well, but the leaves were bigger in the reference, I didn't want to make them too big in mine. I probably should have made them more oval.
