In the Barley Field - Demeter by Jenny Heidewald

In the Barley Field - Demeter
by Jenny Heidewald

Prompt: In the Barley Field
prompted by: Erich Heidewald, during Sketch Fest #27 (August, 2012)

This is a finished version of a sketch!

Micron pen and some colored pencil on 2.5 x 3.5" colored paper. Also, if you miss buying the original line version, I now offer a limited run (three) of any of my Sketchfest ACEOs. These will be printed on watercolor paper and hand painted. If interested, drop me a line via e-mail, or in the comment area. Note: the ones on colored paper will not be one colored paper for the special edition prints, since I can't watercolor on it, and I am actually out of it! :) I also have a Facebook page for my art.

Erich Heidewald says: Well that is interesting how the colored pencils give the barley a golden, gilded appearance. Her (looks-like-a-dress-but-probably-has-an-ancient-Greek-name) is almost iridescent like a beetle. :) ~ Reply?

Jenny Heidewald replied to this: I am pleased with how the yellow showed up as well, also the green, it was cool to play with. It is a Hellenistic chiton, which is more of a style. It is a Doric one, done up Hellenistically (I can't spell right now it is so late). :D
