Hedge Witch Forgets Somethingby Kir Talmage
Pencil, highlighter, watercolor crayons and sharpie... Maybe 15 minutes? Very short. Just trying on a concept for a hedge witch. Out of several in my head! (I've been trying to sketch many potential T-shirt designs for a client so we can pick 2 and develop more-like-finished-product drafts from those. So very fast, very rough, and this is a change of topic (often helpful to come at tasks from a new angle).) Also I **really** want to be a regular participant in sketchfest, but everything else seems to take priority, so I'm seizing the moment as fast as I can even if I'm too tired tomorrow for sense. I don't think I'd sell this (the scan is cleaned up -- the original--about 4x6-- runs off the edge of the sketchpad perforations, among other issues. Just...not... comfortable having this out in this form I think... I might try doing this out as an ink sketch (maybe sketch is wrong word) with better perspective references. Then I could figure out how to focus on the witch better and why the heck there's a tree **there** and how to make the labyrinth more tricky ... Er, sorry, this was supposed to be brief, huh? I blame the dark-chocolate almonds. Really.
