Feathered Serpent by Jenny Heidewald

Feathered Serpent
by Jenny Heidewald

Prompt: Feathered Serpent - Quetzalcoatl
prompted by: Amy Anderson, during Sketch Fest #11 (February, 2011)

A sort of companion piece for "Bad Snake!". Snake girls and indians? I am not sure if the quezalcoati is her friend, or if it's going to eat her... 2015:Finally fixed my typos in the title, and groaning about my political incorrectness of not using "Native American". Micron pen on 2.5 x 3.5" Bristol paper. My Facebook art page

Erich Heidewald says: At least Indian girls ride bareback... :) ~ Reply?

Sylvia Heidewald says: Looks like that snake is going to get a scolding if he doesn't let her pass. Very nice colors. ~ Reply?

Jenny Heidewald says: *haha* Erich, I didn't think of that, but it is true!! I bet he ate the last cookie and is trying to cute his way out of trouble. :D ~ Reply?

Hope Bryant says: The almighty God Quetz...... can't spell it.. Yeah he was one of the ONLY gods of the Aztec/Inca (I don't remember which) that specifically saved the lives of people. All the rest were bloody minded and required human sacrifice! :) Yeah Quetz..... er yeah. :) ~ Reply?

Sunni Smith says: Hahaha I love it! The snake is so adorable. :) ~ Reply?
