Arctic Queen by Janet Chui
Prompt: Queen of the Arctic
prompted by: Carole Graham, during Sketch Fest #11 (February, 2011)
This artist has posted at least one finished version of this piece!
8 by 10-inch Sketch took 13 minutes. Painting took 40 minutes. Drying of the watercolours took forever. I did this on some new super-smooth paper I hadn't used before (Daler Rowney, heavyweight) and I'm pretty happy with it, even with a couple of places I'd still like to touch up. For the original/prints, let me know, or stay tuned to this space!
