Storm Moon Rising by Hope Bryant

Storm Moon Rising
by Hope Bryant

Prompt: Storm Moon Rising
prompted by: Noreen, during Sketch Fest #11 (February, 2011)

This is the first piece in my personal challenge to put a dragon theme on all the pieces I do for this Sketch Fest. Symbolism: Storm Moon is the first full moon of March known for it's wild weather (storms in the bg, around the moon, and dragon), also known as the Crow Moon (feathered wings), moon of winds (elemental dragon), and seed moon (new growth, greenery, etc).

Jenny Heidewald says: Ah, is *that* why we have wind for next month's EMG-zine...Very cool that you have all that info on it. :) I really like the dynamic pose you put the dragon it, though I thought it was a gryphon at first. :) ~ Reply?

Noreen says: Hope, I love all that you've captured with this prompt! I'm thrilled with the movement and details too! ~ Reply?

Catherine Webb says: Really like the dynamic pose of the dragon here. ~ Reply?

Janet Chui says: Fantastic pose and composition! ~ Reply?
