Dragonfly Rider by Ellen Million

Dragonfly Rider
by Ellen Million

Prompt: Photo prompts here www.kerstitch.com/sketchfest/prompts.html. This month it is a dragonfly, cat behind asters and echinacea (purple cone flowers).
prompted by: Kerrie Rusk, during Sketch Fest #7 (October, 2010)

Be sure to check out the photo that was the prompt for this - the details of the wings and shadows of the wings is pretty amazing. After drawing it, I thought it needed a rider. :P SOLD

Sales are temporarily disabled while the site is upgraded. Estimated completion: March 2018!

Kerrie Rusk says: Great work Ellen! Glad you liked the photo! I picked one where the shadows weren't as confusing as some. There are many that make it look like it has 8 wings. I took lots of photos a few days ago. They were all over! ~ Reply?

Noreen says: Ellen, you rocked it! I loved this photo of the Red Skimmer! And the rider is perfect.. Awesome shading.. Really! ~ Reply?

Jenny Heidewald says: Great job, I never had enough patience to do a dragonfly justice. I admire the eyes especially. I wonder how smooth the ride is? ~ Reply?

Hope Bryant says: *grins* This is sweet. I must agree that dragonfly photo was amazing. ~ Reply?
