The Last Unicorn.....uh Woman...thingyby Coriander Shea
This is really one of my favorites that I've ever done for Sketchfest. I had a lot of formal training in figure drawing when I was attending my undergrad and I really developed an appreciation for it. So for those of you wondering if I am a pervert for drawing nakey ppl so much, that is why (...well I AM somewhat of a pervert, but that has totally nothing to do with this...really, it doesn't...err... ummm, awkward).
Anon says: But I thought figure drawing was all fat people? Cool picture by the way. ~ Reply?
Ellen the Million says: Oh, I like this! Figure drawing is sorely under appreciated. ~ Reply?
Mersea says: Wish I had her figure! ~ Reply?
Coriander Shea Detwiler says: Lisa- not at my college! We had a pretty classmate (that made things wierd...I couldn't even look at her in my other classes, lol) and an old gentleman who was almost constantly....errr..."aware" of his surroundings....Julia- I used to, then fast food and too much Crunch N' Munch happened. *shakes fist at Crunch N' Munch* ~ Reply?
Selina Fenech says: Beautiful body! ~ Reply?
Jenny Heidewald says: *LOL* @ your description....lovely drapery. I find that after all the work of figuring out the anatomy, I hate to cover it up, unless the bit of anatomy is not agreeing with me, then it is puffy sleeves to the rescue. ~ Reply?
Coriander Shea Detwiler says: Puffy sleeves and long flowy dresses are god's gift to fantasy artists... ~ Reply?
Ally Loughrin says: There's nothing perverted about the human form! This is absolutely lovely. ~ Reply?
Carole Graham says: Lovely drawing. Your figure drawing classes certainly paid off. It's a shame life drawing classes in a lot of college courses are no longer given prominence but are something pushed to one side as "something extra you might want to do". I'm sure we will continue to admire your female forms if inspired by your pretty class-mate but I for one think I might give any sketches inspired by your "aware" old guy life-model a miss lol!! ~ Reply?
Noreen says: You draw the form with much grace, and I adore your sense of humor! ~ Reply?
