![]() | Coffee, Coffee Everywhere and Not a Drop To Drinkby metasilkPrompt: Coffee, Coffee Everywhere and Not a Drop To Drink This artist has posted at least one finished version of this piece! How should I add the coffee color? Digitally? Watercolor? Hmmm.... This is Micron ink pens (03 and 02) and #2 and 5B pencil on Caslon 65lb sketch paper (5.5x8 I think). So... color this one? Or color a print? Or color the digital file? Or leave as is? Do advise! Update:: Printed on random watercolor paper, and paint is drying now. Will upload finished when it is. Fun! Pencil sketch has (not surprisingly) much finer lines and texture visible, in the cup especially. |

metasilk replied to this: Coffee! Coffee on a print! I love it! **must find the right sort of paper and try it in the printer... should be dry enough by morning when I have more coffee... ** Ooho! Fun!!**scurries off again**Elizabeth Barrette says: This is so cute. I love the detail on the spoon handle. ~ Reply?
metasilk replied to this: Thanks! We have a spoon kind of like that ... :)Ellen the Million says: Oooo! I love this! I think the position on the page is perfect, randomly. I like mikka's idea of coffee staining it. ~ Reply?
metasilk replied to this: Thanks! Yeah, when I started, I wanted the eye to be drawn off-kilter a bit. It's more off on the page, but I needed to crop it a bit in the scan. I've now got a print on some random watercolor paper (my printer won't do custom paper sizes! AUGH! So I had to fake it when I was sleepy. Sheesh!), which is off center in *another* way. Heh. But tomorrow: coffee... and then maybe scissors :P I wonder where the horizon line really is... Hmmm. At least I have more paper to fake it with...Natacha Chohra says: This is fantastic! Well drawn and great concept :) ~ Reply?
