My Favorite Childhood Toy by Laura Macy

My Favorite Childhood Toy
by Laura Macy

Prompt: Your favorite childhood toy
prompted by: Renee Erickson, during Sketch Fest #20 (November, 2011)

When I was very young, I remember being most amused by my Jack-in-the-Box toy. Not sure if they make them anymore, but I got endless fun from mine. As I turned the crank and listened to the music, I knew the lid would pop open and the clown would jump out - I was expecting it, but it startled me EVERY time......and made me laugh.

Renee Erickson says: Very nice work, I remember these as a kid. Was always surprised when it popped out. LOL. Love it. :) ~ Reply?

Laura Macy replied to this: Thank you, Renee :) And thank you for the prompt! The subject put me in such a lovely mood as I sketched and colored it, looking back on so fond a memory.

Sue Rundle-Hughes says: I saw one for sale the other day :) Beautiful drawing x ~ Reply?

Laura Macy replied to this: Thank you, Sue :)
