Who to be today? by Laura Siadak

Who to be today?
by Laura Siadak

Prompt: self-image
prompted by: mikka, during Sketch Fest #18 (September, 2011)

This artist has posted at least one finished version of this piece!

I was thinking of going in the direction of "bad" self image, but after a few minutes of thinking I decided I was well past that phase of my life. Now it feels like masks. Who to be today? Sad, happy, manic?

mikka says: The image is a bit disturbing, especially with the bandages over her face, reaching blindly to find today's expression. But feeling for the right self-expression mades an interesting metaphor, too. ~ Reply?

Anon says: Love this one, wonderful interpretation of the theme and very touching. ~ Reply?

Kerrie Rusk says: Such a great concept! As usual, Michelle puts what I'm thinking into words so well too. ~ Reply?

Noreen says: very deep and profound imagery.. Awesome work! ~ Reply?
