Dust (in the Wind) by Mary Layton

Dust (in the Wind)
by Mary Layton

Prompt: Dust in the Wind
prompted by: Mersea, during Sketch Fest #5 (August, 2010)

Even though I couldn't get the tune out of my head (thanks for the earworm, Julia! ;P ), I still enjoyed this - I even went over the hour guide by a few minutes. I did this in pencil on my sketch pad, and might just upload it into Painter and finish it digitally one of these days!

Jenny Heidewald says: Nice job on that corset, loads of buckles, whoo! ~ Reply?

Selina Fenech says: Any reference to Golden Compass (Amber Spyglass even)? Love the steampunkiness! ~ Reply?

Mary Layton says: Thanks, Jenny! D'you know Selina, I hadn't thought of that at the time - but I see what you mean! Last time I read them was about 2 years ago, so there could be some residual inspiration there. I've been reading China Mieville lately, so I've been in a steampunky mood. :D ~ Reply?

Kate says: Love the steam-punk touches! ~ Reply?
