The Mask by Linnea Holmström Ljung

The Mask
by Linnea Holmström Ljung

Prompt: The Mask
prompted by: Erica Begun, during Sketch Fest #17 (August, 2011)

Mechanical pencil. This was a lot of fun to work with. But also tricky since I could have done so many different types of masks. I settled for a Queen of Spades-inspired Venetian mask.

Michelle says: Oh, you did a lovely job on her mask and face and ruff! I like the way the cording makes one take a second look at what is mask and what is face. ~ Reply?

     Linnea Holmström Ljung replied to this: Thank you! I had to discern the mask somehow from the face. I think it would have been easier in colour (the bottom face part of the mask being white) but I didn't have time for that. ^^;

Kim says: Wow, this is fabulous!! ~ Reply?

Mersea says: Wow! You ask more for this picture! ~ Reply?
