Dragon Love Goddess Figurine by Hope Bryant

Dragon Love Goddess Figurine
by Hope Bryant

Prompt: Goddess of Love
prompted by: angiemroczka, during Sketch Fest #11 (February, 2011)

This is a finished version of a sketch!

Medium: Watercolor, colored pencils (pencil crayons), ink on Strathmore ATC-cut vellum bristol. Red sandstone was choosen for the main body of the figure, as it has some widely-held religious love symbolism. It is also seen as a form of "Earth's Blood", of life's blood in stone. This is inspired by three things, the prompt of course, neolithic godess-figurines, and dragons! ACEO's, mugs, small prints available at DevArt. Original ATC, not yet for sale (I have to make sure it flattens out more).

Sales are temporarily disabled while the site is upgraded. Estimated completion: March 2018!

Hope Bryant says: Thank you. I was very happy with how this came out, especially because I am very leery of "finishing things" due to my lack of confidence in my color-skills. Sadly I need new inking pens. :( My poor Micron kept getting gummed up with the color pencil in the final over-inks. ~ Reply?
