Sketch Fest #55 starts in: 6 days 16 hours and 6 minutes! (September 26-28!)
Radiant Path by Janet Chui

Radiant Path
by Janet Chui

Prompt: A Radiant Path
prompted by: Noreen, during Sketch Fest #9 (January, 2011)

This artist has posted at least one finished version of this piece!

Happy with this one, even if it looks nothing like my usual stuff. Pencil sketch was done in 10 minutes, texture was layered on using my own photographs of antique wood, and Photoshop colouring took 30 minutes. There's a bit of polishing I'd still like to do to finish it, but not too much!

Jenny Heidewald says: I forgot to comment on this one?! I love this one, I thoguht at first, before I saw it closer, that it was a mermaid with her top half out of the water. I really like the flowers going up to the moon and the coloring. It looks almost like watercolor. ~ Reply?
